R. Bruce Wayne (Of Counsel)
Bruce has been with Kirby Noonan Lance & Hoge since 1978 and practices in the areas of business litigation, employment law and plaintiff personal injury. He has handled many high profile cases including:
- Co-counsel for a successful class action suit against the Republican National Committee.
- $2.65 million jury trial verdict for the plaintiff vs. Lift-It, Inc.
- Co-counsel for a successful $5.6 million class action on pro bono basis against municipality for misapplication of required set asides for low and moderate income housing.
- Successfully defended the development of a condominium project from personal liability where other defendants paid multi-million dollar settlements.
- Obtained a $1.2 million settlement for a fired middle-management employee.
- Settled a real estate partnership fraud case for the estate of a deceased partner for $1.65 million.
- Numerous settlements for terminated workers and managers in the $400,000-$500,000 range.
- Co-counsel for a property owner under a long term commercial ground lease resulting in a $15 million benefit for his client.
In addition to his responsibilities at Kirby Noonan Lance & Hoge, Bruce has participated in many civic and charitable organizations including the Princeton Club of San Diego, San Diego Rotary, Friends of Legal Aid, the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and the San Diego State Aztec Foundation.
When he has time, Bruce enjoys playing sports and being an avid Chargers, Gulls and Padres fan, supporting the local arts and spending time with his wife Katherine and daughter Taryn, who graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University.
